Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene Copolymer Rubber

   SBS possesses the properties of rubber and plastic having excellent elasticity, low temperature resistance, air permeability, wet-skid resistance, dyeability and electrical insulation.

Usage

SBS is mainly used in the industrial areas such as rubber products, modification of asphalt and plastics and adhesive making etc.

There are two categories of SBS rubber product: one is a molding product mainly used by shoe-making industry (sole or foam sole) featuring excellent elasticity, wears resistance, comfort in wear, skid resistance and flex-crack resistance. The other is an extrusion product mainly used to produce rubber belt and rubber hose.

SBS is widely used in construction industry and road paving. With an amount of SBS4303 in asphalt, the properties of asphalt can be improved in softening point, low temperature brittleness, intensity, elasticity and impact resistance.

Asphalt modified by SBS is used to pave high-grade roads and airport runways. Highway department of Beijing modified asphalt with 60% SBS, which was used to pave roads on east and west Chang An Streets along sides of Tian An Men Square with a good effect.

It is packaged in polypropylene braided lining bags with polyethylene black film as inner lining. The net weight of each bag is 25Kg.

Transportation

    Direct sunshine and rainwater soak should be avoided during transportation. The transporting vehicles should be clean, and broken packages and foreign material should be avoided.

Storage

    IIR should be stored in storehouse which should be well ventilated, clean and dry at ambient temperature, and mustn’t be piled up outdoors and should avoid direct exposure to sun light.

     SBS has been appraised as one of the famous products of Beijing Municipality.
